Who We  Are

 

We are researching a plan to hire a Security Company three to four nights/week from 2AM to 6AM, to patrol our streets & alleys. The number of hours will relate directly to how many people join the group, and what we are willing to pay. Along with the Security Company, we will also need volunteers to perform daytime patrols .

This is just the beginning of an action plan that could have very a positive outcome.

But it depends on all of us.

 

We are neighbors and friends that live in the Belmont Shore Community of  Long Beach, Ca.

Many of us have lived here for years, and we love where we live. But recently, we have watched our neighborhood become a key target for porch pirates and bicycle thieves. Cars get broken into daily.
And the trash near and around the beach, for many reasons, has gotten out of hand.

Frankly, we have had enough.
Calling the police may help to record and report what is happening. But it doesn't resolve the issues.

We are part of a community that chooses to watch out for each other. We choose to be aware of what is happening around us. We are committed to helping each other out in these crazy times, and we are dedicated to the safety and beauty of our community. Hopefully, we will be able to get ahead of the problems we now face, and create positive changes by standing up for ourselves and our neighbors.
But to do this, we need to work together.  This will take research, coordination and communication.
 

This is not a vigilante group. We are not affiliated with any political party.
We are simply a group of people who care about our neighborhood and our community.
